When I'm trying to upgrade from last version I got following error: You are using pip version 19.0.3, however version 20.2b1 is available. Using makepkg -sr to build packages should automatically remove makedepends once they are no longer needed. This is normal behaviour, you can safely remove these packages. My take is that they are not really our dependencies, and since they are only used during the building stage, they will end up as orphans.
