The Adventure Mode sounds fantastic, as it plays like A Link to the Past, with lots of storytelling, open world navigation, and dungeons with tons of puzzle solving and fighting monsters. The options are nearly limitless, and there are so many different ways that you can go with the level system.

You can be a heavy magic user that wields every type of magic but also has strong melee damage just in case enemies get too close. You can have a defensive character that uses lots of long range attacks and two handed weapons. You have a RIDICULOUS amount of options to create your character the way you want. Secrets of Grindea also has a level system (which isn't in any Zelda games) that is incredibly deep and very open. It's another layer of depth that isn't seen too often in Zelda games, and a very welcome one at that. In addition to regular weapons, you can also cast various types of magic that all control differently than another element. Two-handed weapons do a lot more damage, but are slower and can't let you hold a shield. One handed weapons are faster and can let you carry a shield, but they do less damage. Swinging your sword around is very similar to a Zelda game, but there's one difference here - the option of a one or two-handed weapon. The game plays like a better version of a 2D Zelda, with a smooth and open combat system. I could tell as soon as I began the demo that the developers clearly put a ton of passion into it, and it shows. I was mildly interested in it before, but after trying out the Demo available on the game's store page, it was like love at first sight. It's like The Legend of Zelda on the strongest steroids in the world. And to top it off, throw in 4 player local and online multiplayer for both modes that makes the game infinitely more fun. On top of that, throw in an Arcade mode that takes all of the game's mechanics and puts them into a Binding of Isaac-style roguelike mode that has a town-growing system in it that is completely separate from the main story. The best description for this game that I can think of would probably be this - Imagine taking The Legend of Zelda: A Link to The Past and Secret of Mana, mixing them together, then giving it a deep level up system with skill trees and tons of abilities that aren't limited by classes, then throwing in a story that feels similar to your average Pokemon game. It's not a gaming laptop by any means, but it's decent and can run the types of games I'm interested in.
